<P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN-LEFT: 24pt; TEXT-INDENT: -24pt; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1; tab-stops: list 24.0pt"><STRONG><SPAN lang=EN-US style="mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman'"><SPAN style="mso-list: Ignore">B.<SPAN style="FONT: 7pt 'Times New Roman'">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </SPAN></SPAN></SPAN><SPAN style="FONT-FAMILY: 新細明體; mso-ascii-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; mso-hansi-font-family: 'Times New Roman'">從『不要告別』演化至『告別』<BR></SPAN></STRONG><SPAN style="FONT-FAMILY: 新細明體; mso-ascii-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; mso-hansi-font-family: 'Times New Roman'">「不要告別」是三毛的詞，當時唐曉詩和李泰祥原本要錄的就是「不要告別」，但版權談不攏，無法用三毛的詞，於是滾石的三毛（此三毛為段鍾潭之筆名，不是作家三毛）打電話給詩人夏宇，問她願不願意來試試重填新詞，那是</SPAN><SPAN lang=EN-US>1984</SPAN><SPAN style="FONT-FAMILY: 新細明體; mso-ascii-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; mso-hansi-font-family: 'Times New Roman'">年，夏宇當時毫無填詞經驗，所以填好的成品跟原作的句式完全不一</SPAN> <SPAN style="FONT-FAMILY: 新細明體; mso-ascii-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; mso-hansi-font-family: 'Times New Roman'">樣，李泰祥一看就說這沒法唱，乾脆另譜新曲，成了一首新歌。<BR></SPAN><SPAN style="FONT-FAMILY: 新細明體; mso-ascii-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; mso-hansi-font-family: 'Times New Roman'"><BR><BR>這是夏宇的第一首歌詞作品，從此她就踏入了輝煌的填詞生涯，李格弟、童大龍、李廢等等，都是她寫歌的化名，其他化名還有很多，連她自己都記不得了。夏宇保留了第一句，和「燈火輝煌」這個形容詞（她說這首歌的第一句太美了），但是她把「燈火輝煌的夜裡」改成了「燈火輝煌的眼裡」，才氣高下立判。據說重新填詞只花了一個下午，她填詞寫詩總是很快。齊秦在他的<U>情歌翻唱輯</U>也唱了這首歌，李泰祥去年的版本則融入了「不要告別」的原詞。<BR></SPAN><SPAN style="FONT-FAMILY: 新細明體; mso-ascii-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; mso-hansi-font-family: 'Times New Roman'"><BR><BR>包括「不要告別」在內的這一組早期作品，在當時以每首兩千元台幣賣給了歌林唱片公司。歌林公司略做修改後，曾經多次給它旗下的歌手唱過。歌林對這首歌的音樂處理，卻讓剛回國的李泰祥感到陌生，因為那完全不是他心目中的歌曲。<BR></SPAN><SPAN style="FONT-FAMILY: 新細明體; mso-ascii-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; mso-hansi-font-family: 'Times New Roman'"><BR><BR>十年來，李泰祥對這首珍愛的曲子耿耿於懷，希望有機會由自己重新詮釋，恢復它的原貌。在錄製唐曉詩這張專輯時，他終於決定讓唐曉詩來演唱它。李泰祥在編完「不要告別」的音樂之後，幾次與歌林聯繫，希望取得這首他自己作品的演唱機會，他甚至願意譜寫新曲向歌林公司換回那首舊作。<BR></SPAN><SPAN style="FONT-FAMILY: 新細明體; mso-ascii-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; mso-hansi-font-family: 'Times New Roman'"><BR><BR>李泰祥的心願結果被拒絕了，歌林公司甚至發函給滾石公司，警告該公司不得出版這一首歌。李泰祥進一步想尋求法律或輿論上的協助，發現目前的著作權法對創作者的創作保障幾乎是微乎其微的</SPAN><SPAN lang=EN-US>–</SPAN><SPAN style="FONT-FAMILY: 新細明體; mso-ascii-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; mso-hansi-font-family: 'Times New Roman'">他雖然是這首歌的原作者，但是他沒有詮釋這首歌曲的權利。在一切努力歸於失敗後，他決定向「不要告別」告別。李泰祥開始試圖從原曲的精神上，重新創作一首歌；他成功了，這首新歌就是「告別」。</SPAN></P>

「告別」與「不要告別」的關係極其密切，它不但保留了「不要告別」的全部的和弦、背景音樂；兩首歌的前兩句歌詞是相同的，「不要告別」的一部旋律成為「告別」的和聲。音樂家的創作力突破了一切障礙，他不但創作了新曲，也擁有了舊曲。<SPAN lang=EN-US><BR style="mso-special-character: line-break"></SPAN>
